The 2020 Britannia coin is named after the Roman mythological figure of Britannia, who has her roots in the language of Roman emperors. Far off to the West of the empire, the Roman elite would often speak of the British isles as mythological lands, leading to Brittannia's creation. 9999 pure gold with a weight of 1 oz. Produced by the British Royal Mint. Individual coins come in the plastic flips.

Multiples of 10 come in mint-issued tubes while multiples of 100 come in Monster Box. Face value of 100 British Pounds.

Legal tender coin backed by the British Government. Obverse: Features the bust of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. D" (Queen by the Grace of God), and "100 POUNDS.

Reverse: Displays the legendary image of Britannia holding a trident in her outstretched hand while bearing a shield. Inscriptions: "BRITANNIA", "2020", along with the weight and purity of the coin.
